Wiradjuri people for more then 60,000 years have tended and cared for this place we all now call gunyah (home). In 2020 Wiradjuri people still continue our very strong connection to Ngurambang-bu Garray-Bu (Country and Land). Perhaps in this time when we are all forced to stay at home, due to the virus event, I was thinking that it would be a great time to get your backyards cleaned up and connected back to Gunhi Dhaagun (Mother Earth). How about you and your mob get some amazing local bush tucker plants and trees and locate them in your environment. Get some species of plants and trees that will grow in your area, some species that will give you bush tucker, medicines and maybe even some that may attract local balugan-bu budyaan-bu (animals and birds). Take this down time and make it your time to yalmambirra-bu bundyi-bu (teach and share) with your family and friends.
