An adventure documentary showcasing the incredible hunting and survival skills of the Indigenous people of Australia's Northern Territory. Yolngu men accurately spear Milkfish and sharks from long range. Morgs and Simmo join the Garrthalala community (in Australia's North east Arnhem Land) to traditionally cook the fish in an underground oven. An authentic Australian Aboriginal experience!
Another flashback episode of the FISHING THE WILD documentary (series 1). Morgs & Simmo take their camping adventure to a remote tropical island in Australia's Northern Territory, where Jew Fish, Golden Snapper and Barramundi have to be seen to be believed. Friends Daryl and Marcus Lacey are Indigenous Rangers who join them to catch and cook stingrays to eat with the fish of the day.
Families from Ramingining in the bush camping for the day and partaking in magpie goose (gurrumattji), nyangura (long-neck turtle) and dhatam (waterlily roots). Some people who can be seen here: Djinipuru, Waniwani, Balupalu, and Djutarra.
NAIDOC week 2013 and the Port Lincoln Aboriginal Community Council held a traditional cookout. Kangaroo tail, nannygai (redfish, red snapper), damper and billy tea were on the menu. Local indigenous and wider community came together to celebrate, eat and chat.
